This is a beautiful vintage Rolex Datejust reference 6917 which dates to 1972 and is made from solid 18k gold. 
 
The watch's gold case measures 26mm in diameter excluding the gold screw down crown. The case is in nice visible condition. There is some wear in between the lugs etc from previously being on a gold bracelet. On the wrist it is stunning. 
 
The gold coloured dial is in very good condition for its age and perfectly compliments the gold case. 
 
The automatic movement has been professionally serviced in April at great cost. The watch comes with the service paperwork as well as 12 months warranty from the Horologist. 
 
The watch comes in a very rare vintage Rolex tapestry box with complete insert and jewellery slots on either edge. The box is in excellent condition. 
 
The watch has also been fitted with a new leather strap with vintage Rolex buckle fitted.
