This is an excellent vintage watch by J.W.Benson. The company was a high end Jeweller and Watchmakers on Bond Street in London and who also held Royal Warrants. Similar to other companies like Garrard.
This particular watch dates to 1961 and has its original box and paperwork.
The stainless steel case measures 32.65mm in diameter excluding the crown. For its age, the case is in very good condition with minor signs of wear. The case back has a small personalised engraving of only 2 Initials and dates which ties in to the dated paperwork.
The hand wound movement is running well and keeping within approximately 25 seconds per day. The movement is also signed J.W.Benson.
The dial is in excellent condition with clean hour markers, crisp lettering and dauphine hands.
The watch has been fitted with a brand new crystal and new leather strap.
A fantastic piece of British history.
